Susan and Suzanne

Here are some of my gorgeous dolls.
I have taken the time to show you some of my favoite dolls that have taken over the house. Some of them are my dolls I have had since a young girl, and some have become a part of my family for their personalities, or versitility.

The first picture is of my Susan, and her new girlfriend, Suzanne. They also have a cousin Suzy, and sisters, Susannah, Peggy Sue, and a few others that I have not figured out derivities of yet. That started when I got my doll, and my sister had to have almost the same name for her doll.
Suzanne is actually another version of the Eegee doll made with vinyl for her face and hard plastic body. My Susan is hard plastic face and body. Boy did I goof when I first cleaned her up. The cleansers that worked for the plastics, about stripped off all her original paint. You really have to be careful cleaning old dolls.

This doll is like my sister's doll except that her doll's hair was short brunette. Included below, is her original Eegee tag. She made a trip to my house, instead of going to my sister, because the original owner didn't get the addresses straight, so she has a nice clear picture. Below is her dress, all pretty. I just soaked it in Tide.

This doll has a variation of the Susan Stroller tag, but the documentation that is needed, along with the picture of the straight-legged doll. To the left you see an original ad for the Susan Stroller doll. Click on the add to see another add for a different doll, more like mine.

Click on the tag for the back view.

This doll seems to be a transitional doll with the hard head like my doll with the hard plastic, and yet she has the bending knees like the vinyl headed doll, like my sister's. Click on her for another picture.

babydollikin.jpg

Here is the original Eegee tag that was on two of the three dolls. That excludes the totally hard plastic Eegee doll in the blue dress, which has no markings on her what-so-ever, like my original doll. The vinyl faced doll, with the jointed knees, like my sister's doll, which has Eegee on the back of her neck, and the transitional doll, shown in the red dress, with the hard plastic face, and the jointed knees have this tag, but they are the proabably the newer varieties. What a treat to find documentation on all of these various dolls. All Susan Strollers!

Here is an original with the hard plastic face and her original tag.

On the left is Suzanne, and on the right is my doll, Susan. Suzanne is a vinyl faced version of the Eegee Susan Stroller, and Susan is the hard plastic version.

Shown is "Sarah Sue", who is actually an Ideal Posie doll, and was advertised as being able to pray with you before bed at night, by bending her knees. I don't know if that would work in these days. She is also 22 inches tall, and this one has long redish hair. Click on her to see a close-up of her face. Below is a blurry version of her box...click on it to see her tag.
She has a vinyl face and hard plastic body. She is dressed in her original dress, and redressed shoes and socks, but still correct for time-frame accessories.

Just add some "pixie" dust, and poof...here are gorgeous old dolls!

babydollikin.jpg

This is a duplicate of my original doll and dress, except that mine has the darker hair.
Click on her to compare tummy grills.

Click on this picture of "Suzette", my new Stroller, to see what my "Susan's" face originally looked like before over-cleaning her.
